Nebulas are large clouds of gas in space often measuring light years in size and are made up of hydrogen, helium and star dust. Nebulas are formed in two ways: (1) from the creation of the solar system or two from the gas left behind from stars that have exploded in a super nova or nova. Stars and planets are formed out of nebulas when gravity condenses the gas into objects.
