The Galactic Disk or plane is the area of the disk. The Nucleus is the center of the galaxies and they are densely pack with stars and black holes. Spiral Arms are bands of stars that radiate out from the nucleus. The Galactic Halo is a cloud of stars that expand out from the plane of the galaxy.
