Cold Water Currents are deep water currents which travel along the ocean floor. These currents often move at a very slow rate of speed. They pick up organic debris as flow across the ooze located on the abyssal plain. These currents create upwelling as they near the surface, as the organic matter attracts fish and other aquatic life.
