The Atmosphere

    Return to Meteorology Index Page

The Earth's atmosphere is driven by the Sun. The Atmosphere is divided into five layers and two spheres. The Layers include the Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere and Exosphere. Each layer has unique characteristics that make different from the other layers. The atmosphere also contains two spheres. These two spheres are called the Homosphere and the Heterosphere. The Homosphere is made up of the same gasses, while the Heterosphere is made up of several different combinations of gasses.
